I’m a long time fan of US merino, particularly when I can wear 2 layers at once. A merino top plus Curve cardigan is a perfect “not your mother’s twinset”. Crew necks aren’t my favorite but it is what it is, given the Phebe v neck is no longer. This one is done especially well, without an itchy transition at the collar. The wife band of ribbing at the bottom breaks up the long line nicely. I got it in the same size as the Curve because it’s what was in stock during a sale but if I buy a second I’ll size down. One could even go 2 sizes down if it’s mostly to be layered; think of how comfy it would be under a blazer. I’m learning that wool uniquely keeps me comfortable through a wide range of temperatures, not to mention repelling everything. One can get many wearings from wool just airing it out in between. The one disappointment is that the “slate” is much different from the “Slate” Curve Cardi, which is unusual for US when two items are the same fabric and same color name. The Curve has a hesthering, it’s not just a difference of dye lots I don’t think. I do also wish there were a Teal (to pair with the Curve) or a color more widely flattering than the pink.
