What Would Fashion Look Like If It Included All Of Us?

A Children’s Book by Universal Standard

We dream of a world where clothing connects us instead of divides, where every person has access to clothing that works for them, and we’re all kinder to ourselves, each other and the planet. What Would Fashion Look Like If It Included All Of Us? distills our brand’s mission of inclusivity, and represents another part of our contribution to the larger cultural conversation. It’s a children’s book, yes; but more importantly, it’s a reminder of what’s possible.

What Would Fashion Look Like If It Included All Of Us?  is meant to be a universal story to inspire future generations. This is a precarious time, and we’re all doing our best to navigate the circumstances. Social distancing is mandated, but there are still small ways in which we can connect. We believe the campaign fosters that connection; across the country, our storytellers are sharing social videos of themselves reading the book, encouraging others to do the same.

Not only does the book share our brand values, but also envisions a world of what’s possible. True inclusivity isn’t just about size; it’s about race, gender, ability, and transparency and open conversation on the issues that plague the industry the most. The book takes those complicated ideas and turns them into something fun, witty, and inspiring for both kids and adults to enjoy.

The book went live for presale with 100 percent of the purchase price donated to #SAVEWITHSTORIES, in partnership with Save the Children and No Kid Hungry. A free digital version of the book is available for everyone to download, and there’s also an option to donate on our website at the link in bio.
