The jacket is a lovely

"The jacket is a lovely color and is fully lined, however it is much too long in the body and sleeves for a 5’2 or 5’4 body frame (tried on both). It must go back. US used to be commited to providing style options for plus petites, but that seems to have gone by the wayside."

Big shoulder pads, unlined sleeves that are very long. Check your arm length!

"It’s lovely but not on me. Read the complete measurements and make sure they match your measurements. I’m a short (5’2) apple (250+) with a very short torso, short arms, 26/28 with my weight on my top half, short neck, etc. My arm length is 12. 5” and the M-XL (I ordered XL) is 26@ sleeve. The shortest sleeve length on this is 25” for a 4XS. Unless you are tall with long arms, you’ll need a tailor. They will need to take the sleeves in at the shoulder hem since the cuffs are cut with three fabric-covered shank buttons. If the sleeves were lined like the bodice, rolling them might work. I required 5 rolls of unlined bulky fabric and 3 shank buttons in order to show my shirt cuffs to look moderately intentional. Needless to say, rolling really doesn’t work with this blazer. Not a professional look. Your body type also needs to be able to accommodate significant shoulder pads. If you have a large bust/top heavy or short neck, it will swallow you. It’s also quite long, 34” for an XL, so again if you are tall with a defined neck, it would probably drape nicely. If you are short, look for a different blazer cut. I should have gone with no shoulder pads, no cuff shank buttons, and nothing longer than a 29” length. That’s on me for not double checking all the measurements, however they don’t describe that the sleeves are not lined. Nor is there mention of shoulder pads. Hefty ones at that. I bought it for a job interview with little notice so I was rushed, getting it the evening before my interview with express shipping. I had to remove the tags and go with it. I can’t return for a refund or exchange for a different item, but because it is a fit liberty item, I will exchange for a size down and get the arms tailored and see if it can be shortened as well. With all that said, I have several Geneva dresses I adore, and a couple shirt dresses and shift dresses I love also. The fact that Universal Standard is the most size inclusive company out there, I will remain a loyal customer and triple check measurements and ask for item detail clarity next time I order something like this. Live and learn. I gave it 4 stars because I think it could work on a person taller than me. Hoping the L will work better after alterations."

The sleeves can scrunch up! In a good way

"Sometimes with high quality or lined blazers I can't roll up the sleeves because they fall right back down - NOT the case with this blazer. There is a slight stretch to the material that lets me have the 3/4 sleeve scrunch that I prefer."

The Perfect Office Blazer

"I was hesitant about buying a jacket online, as I don't live in the USA and I was worried how it would fit. I needn't have worried, I just followed the measurement chart and the suit fits perfectly. I wear this suit at least twice a week to work, and I just swap out the shirts and it looks completely different. It's comfortable to wear and the fabric looks expensive. I'll buy this again when it comes out in navy (fingers crossed). As for fit, I am an apple-shape with a large bust, and this style fits me well and looks flattering when it's on. Be very careful when ironing it, I almost scorched a button because the fabric only takes a low heat. I just hang it out after work now, rather than ironing it. I'll leave it to the professionals for future cleans. This is a good suit jacket and I bought the matching pants to go with it. I'd love to see this in other colours (other than the brown, which doesn't work for me)"
