We thought conventional sizing seemed skewed, so we shifted the spotlight to reflect the real bell curve. If the average woman wears a size 18, then that should be called a Medium, right? Our sample size is an 18, and we engineer every single size from there to ensure the perfect fit for all of US. Our sizes range from 00-40 (4XS to 4XL in Universal Standard sizing).

We offer free shipping and fast returns. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return or exchange items through our Returns Portal at universalstandard.happyreturns.com. Exchanges are free for domestic customers. Please note that Final Sale items are not eligible for returns.

"I have a pair of light blue Bae jeans that I LOVE! I had sized down for them and they fit great. I ordered the same size for the black ones and I was disappointed. The waist was much tighter and the material stiff and scratchy. I was hopeful so I exchanged them for a size up - the waist was better but the legs and crotch were very baggy and not super flattering. I’m hoping they’ll improve after they go through a wash… I was really hoping for a black version for my beloved blue baes."

Favorite jeans ever

"These are my favorite jeans. I wish I had a pair in every color. I daydream about buying new pairs. If they went away I would never recover. Practical stuff: I have gotten them in one size down and in my usual size and it was fine for me either way. I liked the baggier fit, but they lost the battle to my thighs so now I only have a pair left that is the tighter fit and it’s still good and comfortable. They are perfect height for my inseam and they’re flattering and comfortable. It seems like different colors can be different materials, a blue pair I formerly had is much thicker than the faded black ones I got recently."
