How do I find my size at Universal Standard?

We recommend measuring yourself for the best fit. Measure around your bust at the fullest point, your waist at the narrowest part, and your hips at the fullest part. Compare your measurements to our size chart to find your perfect fit. Our sizes range from 00-40 (4XS to 4XL). If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. What is Universal Sizing?

We thought conventional sizing seemed skewed, so we shifted the spotlight to reflect the real bell curve. If the average woman wears a size 18, then that should be called a Medium, right? Our sample size is an 18, and we engineer every single size from there to ensure the perfect fit for all of US. Our sizes range from 00-40 (4XS to 4XL in Universal Standard sizing).

What is your return and exchange policy?

We offer free shipping and fast returns. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return or exchange items through our Returns Portal at universalstandard.happyreturns.com. Exchanges are free for domestic customers. Please note that Final Sale items are not eligible for returns.

Fit Liberty is our revolutionary shopping program that allows you to buy for the size you are right now. Any piece in the Fit Liberty collection is eligible for a one-year size exchange (beyond our standard return policy) should you go up or down in size within a year. What materials does Universal Standard use?

We use premium, carefully selected fabrics for comfort and durability. Each product page displays the specific fabric composition and care instructions under the Fabric & Care section. Our materials are chosen to maintain their quality wash after wash. Common fabrics include our signature Moro Ponte, premium cotton blends, and luxurious liquid jersey.

Love the length and the

"Love the length and the color. Is a bit roomy but that is ok for a summer top. I suspect it will shrink a bit. Like all of US’s linen, it is scratchy. Nice and heavy, like the weight, but definitely has a roughness I don’t have in 100% linen pieces from other retailers. Not unbearable for sure, and probably with washing will improve, however, this is not the kind of tip I would wear, wash, wear, wash say like a T shirt. This is more of a quibble than a complaint, have worn the shirt multiple times since I got it. Would actually probably buy again."

Cool and Classy

"This linen shirt looks great. It has a button placket that reaches about 2/3 of the way down. This shirt does not unbutton entirely to open at the front. It has a breast pocket on the left-hand side and the back hem dips a bit lower than the front hem. The linen of the brand new garment is a bit scratchy. However, based on other linen garments I've purchased, it will soften up with a few runs through the laundry."

Best Mystery Package

"Super duper experience. I just received my all linen mystery package. It is by far the best mystery package EVER. Green Laurel linen dress, black cameo linen tunic, and pink linen shorts. They are all things I would have picked out myself. Of course they fit. Thank you for following me to live in Europe. It's great to have reliable fit here."
