"The City Poplin Shirtdress is extremely well made. The extra snaps between each of the buttons is a very nice upgrade. The fabric is soft and comfortable. I am not tall, only 5' 4" and the vertical stripes help make me appear a little taller. I don't like form fitted clothing and this dress if very flattering to my full hourglass shape. The sleeves are just above my elbow making it perfect to wear to the office. I would love to see this type of fabric and dress style in more options!"

"This dress is so cute and very comfortable, and a good lightweight fabric for summer. But it does wrinkle easily, and for the large-armed like myself, the arms were almost-tight. So ymmv there. Very cute - glad I got it on sale!"

"This is THE BEST dress! I have the red stripe and get tons of compliments each time I wear it. The sleeves are not tight and the entire shape is so comfy and flattering. The quality is in the details - the stripes line up on the pockets and the button seams. A lot of care went into sewing this. I am an 8-10 in other brands and the 2XS fit beautifully. I love that the fabric is cotton and not polyester. Would love more colors in this - maybe a deep teal or a floral!"

"Just received my dress in the red/black stripe. WOW. This is the best shirt dress I've purchased. Fabric is beautiful, and the cut is SO flattering - love the set-in waist, the sleeves, and the pleats in the skirt. And. . . snaps the bodice in-between buttons to prevent gapping, I mean, who does that? Universal Standard does! Thank you. I cannot wait to wear this on one of my trips to Paris this year. I'm hoping that you'll continue making this style and add more colors to what you already have. This is my first purchase from the brand and I am now a fan."
