Button fell off on first wear

"They fit perfectly, and the color is lovely, but the button fell off the first time I wore them. Really disappointed that such expensive pants are such poor quality :( I have only had good experiences with Universal Standard before. But since I buy for piece longevity, I think I will be taking my $ elsewhere in the future."

Another button failure

"Like others have said - the button construction lets the garment down. The waist is snug enough to stay up on my straight hips but not tight; right out of the bag I can't sit or bend over without the button popping out of its rivet. Bought these on final sale so I'm stuck with them and will hopefully be able to install something DIY. Otherwise the color, fit, design of these are great - hope y'all fix this issue soon."

Extremely Comfortable and Upscale

"The inseam for me was perfect (5'2"). Love the mid wale corduroy, although not much stretch, is soft, warm, and comfortable. Got the blue which is a rich dark navy which is exactly what I like - will be back for the black. I wouldn't hate Espresso brown!"

So disappointed - button ruined a perfect pant!

"The button problem is bad enough that my review for a pair of pants that I would otherwise adore be knocked from a 5 to a 3. Truly, the waistband on these is pleasantly loose-ish, plus the material has a little stretch - there is no reason I should be popping a button! As someone said a couple months ago, it comes apart in two pieces, which, when you put them back together, never lock into place. And I should add that I’m lucky I catch the problem right away, because the inside piece is basically a thick, very sharp tack. I’mm wearing them for the first time, for about half an hour so far, and it’s already happened four times. Guys, I can’t tell you how many years (but at least 10) that I have been looking for a pair of barrel-type pants that didn’t fit Just Wrong. Without the problem of the button that won’t stick together, these pants are a dream. The corduroy is soft, with a lovely medium wale. And they are so unbelievably comfy and would look great with a pair of cream-colored ankle boots. I got the gorgeous dark blue color, and I was looking forward to buying the Gamay if they worked out. I’m crushed that these came so close to the platonic ideal of what these pants are supposed to be, yet are still basically unwearable."

Needs more inseam options

"Love the shape and style, but the inseam is so short! At 5'8", I'm on the taller side, and cropped corduroys are not for me--when it's cold out, I need full-length pants. Really wish these had long and short inseam options."

Great pants with a bad button

"I love everything about these but unfortunately they’re not well made. The button came apart when I tried on both pairs I bought (two different colors). They’re not too tight; I was pulling slightly to button them and the button just came apart into two pieces. On both pairs! US, please fix this because I want to love these pants."
