"Very nice coat, great fabric, looks polished for work."
"I'm 5'2 and usually wear either XS or S in US tops, size 12-14 in other labels. The small fits me perfectly and I get lots of compliments on the bright blue color."
"I really liked this coat. It is soft and cozy, true to size, and the style is classic so I know it will last many seasons. It is very well constructed. It has three deep pockets--perfect for when you don't want to carry a bulky purse. The coat isn't as thick as I expected, which works well for me where I live, but if I lived further north it might be a little too light for weather below 15 or 20 degrees (F)."
"Road tested this over this weekend in SF. Felt pulled together, warm, but not too hot and just dressed up enough over a black Aimee Tee and black Stephanie pants with Adidas Superstar sneakers. Walked through the Fillmore and all over Hayes Valley hands free with ease because the amazing pockets held my wallet, phone, lipstick and sunglasses. Today I'll wear it over a grey, long sleeve V-Rex and black Hathaways for breakfast before I BART home. So glad I bought this coat!"
"First of all, I ordered this and liked this because I have a very strong sense of what works for my style and body shape. I'm typically a US 2-4, but sized up to 2XS based on recommendations and also I wanted some room for being able to fit an additional layer underneath if needed. I also sent this to a couple of my friends over US size 10 and two immediately picked up on the fact this coat didn't have slits. After wearing it out into the cold Boston weather, I immediately noticed what was done to the tailor to offset the lack of slits in order to make it work for extended sizing: the buttons are put so that the coat flares OUT rather than closes straight (compare the two photos where of where the coat closes based on where the buttons are vs. where the buttons would be if it were naturally to close along the seems of a ""straight"" cut coat. )basically. . . this makes it worse for everyone because unless if you're exactly proportioned like the size 18 ""sample size"", even if you usually wear a size 18, that means you either can't close the coat OR it looks boxy and stuffy, which is directly a result of trying to accommodate the wide range of women's chest sizes without just putting in slits. Thus showing how important details in tailoring are, not just choosing a different standard sample size when emulating a populate style. This means if the coat is boxy on you and you had higher hopes, the easily solution is just to retailor the buttons inward. However, the problem is harder to solve if you can't close the coat because you need to find a seamstress to tailor in slits, probably best at the sides instead of one in the back. Oh, also the wool is pretty thin, compared to other brands this is emulating, at wool that's half the weight of comparative 80% wool coats for me. This is actually a plus for me because it offers more options for me since I need pieces to accommodate more temperatures given Boston weather, but might be a disappointment given its original sticker price compared to 80% wool blend coats from other brands. Again, *I* really like this piece, but I'm pointing out flaws that make it not a universally flattering piece since the tailor poorly accommodates many body sizes, despite a very obviously tailoring option that WOULD make it more universally flattering."
"I love this coat. The color is amazing and rich. It is a snug fit but that's the point of a wool coat. If I got a size bigger, it would look sloppy. I have 2 others like it."
"I'm a size 12/14, 5'9 and purchased the S(14-16). Sleeves were short and narrowed at wrist. Tight in shoulders and hips with a tee shirt on. No way a blazer or sweater could be worn underneath. Beautiful color!"
"I wish it looked better on me. Just too boxy and masculine."
