Our Tina Cotton Poplin Shirtdress marries our favorite design elements with our very best fit details. Our signature “Alex V” (named after our founder) is adapted into the sharply cut neckline, finished with a curved collar. Short sleeves are tailored with a close-fitting armhole for a polished silhouette. The fit-and-flare shape skims the waist and is finished with a matching belt. Side-seam pockets and hidden snaps at the placket that prevent gaping provide the final touches.

"Compliments on day 1 with this dress! No gaping even though there’s buttons all down the front and I usually have issues with that but there are multiple snaps keeping the dress closed. Every measurement is perfect and the skirt is perfectly balanced to the top. Love the sleeves too!"

"I debated between the XS and the S, but based on chest/waist/hip measurements, I decided on the small. While the dress fit most everywhere, I think I need to go up a size. The armholes were very tight for my swimmer arms and shoulders. Hoping the larger size fits better in the shoulders and doesn't overwhelm my bottom half, because the dress is lovely otherwise. Fabric has a great weight and the cutouts add a nice bit of interest for an all black dress."

"US really got it right with this one. It's very well made, and the color and detailing are beautiful. I purchased it on sale and, even at that price, it was significantly more I'd typically spend on a dress for myself. But the high quality and unique texture inspired me to hang onto it. I am between a 2xs and xs in US and it fit perfectly in my smaller size, including across the bust thanks to the handy in-between button snaps."
"This dress has a lot to recommend it. The fabulous color. The lovely feel of the fabric. the length is just right. I wish it was a little more of a fit and flare shape. Slightly more fitted in the bodice and with more of an A-line to the skirt. The tie just bunches up volume at the waist and the skirt doesn’t flare out enough to make the waist more defined. The fit is perfect through the bust however - which in my life is miraculous!"
