Four years ago Universal Standard was an intention - an idea of how to do things better, a vision of a more inclusive way forward. We didn’t know how, but we knew why. We wanted to fix something we saw as broken, so that the future of fashion felt less fractured. We wanted to celebrate difference and represent real women in all their nuances and beautiful iterations, so that everyone feels seen and included. We wanted to build something for us, two friends who just wanted to shop together, but more than anything we wanted to build something for all of us, a brand we can all share and participate in.
With your support we’ve been able to do more than we ever thought possible. You’ve allowed US to experiment and innovate, to bring you cool collaborations and new concepts, to try and sometimes fail, to define FASHION FREEDOM and then manifest it in bigger and better ways. Thank you.
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. Every all-nighter, back & forth brainstorm, cross-country trip, last-minute launch has led to this moment. And honestly, we’ve had a lot of fun along the way.
There’s so much more ahead for US. It’s been four years, but it’s really just the beginning.
