I know we’ve been through a lot together. I mean, I don’t even remember a time before you were in my life, but I have to be honest. I just can’t settle anymore. I tried to make it work. I really did. But even you have to admit it never really felt like the right fit. You were so rigid, so controlling - it made my stomach hurt sometimes. Even when you relaxed a little bit, I never felt fully comfortable. Other times you would become so relaxed that I felt completely unsupported. Did you ever really have my back?
I really think I went along with it for so long because I didn’t realize there was something better out there, but everything is different now... How do I put this? You’ve been replaced.
Bad denim - it’s over. I won’t negotiate with you anymore. I won’t squirm or shirk. I won’t sacrifice. I’ve finally found what’s been missing this whole time - comfort, support, and it doesn’t hurt that they’re so good looking… You know, it really is in the jeans.
