We recommend measuring yourself for the best fit. Measure around your bust at the fullest point, your waist at the narrowest part, and your hips at the fullest part. Compare your measurements to our size chart to find your perfect fit. Our sizes range from 00-40 (4XS to 4XL). If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. What is Universal Sizing?

We thought conventional sizing seemed skewed, so we shifted the spotlight to reflect the real bell curve. If the average woman wears a size 18, then that should be called a Medium, right? Our sample size is an 18, and we engineer every single size from there to ensure the perfect fit for all of US. Our sizes range from 00-40 (4XS to 4XL in Universal Standard sizing).

What is your return and exchange policy?

We offer free shipping and fast returns. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return or exchange items through our Returns Portal at universalstandard.happyreturns.com. Exchanges are free for domestic customers. Please note that Final Sale items are not eligible for returns.

What materials does Universal Standard use?

We use premium, carefully selected fabrics for comfort and durability. Each product page displays the specific fabric composition and care instructions under the Fabric & Care section. Our materials are chosen to maintain their quality wash after wash. Common fabrics include our signature Moro Ponte, premium cotton blends, and luxurious liquid jersey.

Stylish and comfortable pants!

"Really lovely pants. Nice fit, excellent length (on the long side but not too long for me), fantastic color. Very similar to the Audrey Tailored Ponte pants I bought in 2024. On first wear, slightly tight at the waist, but relaxed after a couple hours of wear. Fabric is great, definitely a bit slippery to start, especially while riding on a bike saddle. I love that these let me be business casual but stylish while bicycling to work. I have these in the green as well - they're a great and comfortable replacement for denim at work to formalize things a little."

Solid work pants

"I selected a size 22-24 in black with gold buttons. At 5'7", the pants are full length in flat shoes without puddling. I like that the ponte is smooth but does not make a swishing sound when my thighs rub when walking. I don't like that there are not belt loops, although there is an internal button at the front waist so the waist is reasonably secure. The pants became looser with wear but not a full size, and did not appear wrinkled after a day of wear."
