The vest & I had…creative differences
"First of all, this vest has less substance than my plans to become a morning person. It’s so lightweight and insubstantial that a gentle breeze didn’t just move it—it emotionally destabilized it. I’ve worn napkins with a stronger sense of purpose. And the length in the back? Bold. Daring. Practically nonexistent. If the goal was to create a vest that says, “business in the front, absolutely no commitment in the back,” then congratulations, nailed it. I bent over slightly and felt like I owed everyone in a 10-foot radius an apology. Now let’s talk about the buttons. These buttons look like they came free with a craft kit labeled “My First Fasteners. ” They are somehow both too shiny and too sad at the same time—like costume jewelry that’s given up on its dreams. Overall, the Tamsin vest didn’t make me feel like a chic minimalist icon. It made me feel like I lost a bet and had to wear a historically inaccurate apron."
